Your 7-day itinerary
Start early for the pilgrimage to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. Complete the trek, seek blessings at the shrine and return to Katra after darshan. Then continue towards Srinagar by road, subject to your return time and road conditions, and check in to the hotel. This is a demanding day. For a more relaxed trip, we can add a second night in Katra on request.
Visit the famous Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, and explore the Chashme Shahi Mughal garden. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple, subject to access and timing. Enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake and explore the local handicraft and dry-fruit markets.
Drive to Gulmarg, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery, with views of green meadows and pine forests. Visit the Gulmarg Golf Course and Maharani Temple. Ride the Gondola cable car, which is optional and subject to ticket availability, and enjoy seasonal snow activities or leisurely walks. Return to Srinagar in the evening.
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, enjoying scenic views along the way. Visit the Awantipora ruins, time permitting. Explore Pahalgam town and the Lidder River, and visit Betaab Valley and Aru Valley, subject to available time and local transport rules. Check in to the hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.
Return from Pahalgam towards Srinagar after breakfast. If road conditions and timing permit, take a Sonamarg excursion with views of the Sindh River and the surrounding mountains, and visit the Thajiwas Glacier area if it is accessible. Return to Srinagar for the night. This is a long route for one day, so we plan it around the conditions.
Breakfast at the hotel, then check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport. Depart with wonderful memories of your Kashmir and Katra holiday.

Pilgrims must obtain the official yatra registration or access card before beginning the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. Check current arrangements on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board’s official website. Day 2 is demanding, and mountain excursions depend on weather, road conditions and local regulations.
